Spider Egg Shells
Spider Egg Shells are decorative blocks that can be obtained by breaking Spider Eggs before they hatch. These fragile shell fragments can be placed on various surfaces similar to Glow Lichen, making them useful for cave decoration and atmospheric detailing.
Obtaining
Spider Egg Shells are obtained by breaking Spider Eggs before they hatch. Each broken Spider Egg drops 2-3 Spider Egg Shells.
Spider Eggs generate naturally in caves underground, specifically in:
- Placed on the walls of Spider Egg Clusters
Usage
Spider Egg Shells serve purely as decorative blocks, adding atmospheric detail to caves, dungeons, or spider-themed builds. They have no functional properties beyond their visual appearance.
When placed, Spider Egg Shells have a chance to display one of two different textures, providing visual variety and making Spider Egg Clusters appear more natural and organic.
Placement
Spider Egg Shells can be placed on multiple surfaces, similar to Glow Lichen:
- Floors: Can be placed on top of solid blocks
- Walls: Can be attached to the sides of solid blocks
- Ceilings: Can be placed on the underside of solid blocks
- Multiple Faces: Can be placed on multiple faces of the same block simultaneously
Spider Egg Shells require at least one adjacent solid block face to attach to. They cannot float freely in air and will break if their supporting block is removed.
