White Egg
White Eggs are throwable projectile items that can hatch into baby geese when thrown. There are three variants of white eggs, each associated with a different goose variant and found in different biomes.
Obtaining
White eggs are laid by adult geese every 5-10 minutes (6000-12000 ticks). The type of egg laid depends on the goose's variant:
- Temperate Geese: Lay White Eggs
- Cold Geese: Lay Big White Eggs
- Warm Geese: Lay Small White Eggs
White eggs can be collected from the ground after adult geese lay them. They appear as item entities and can be picked up like any other item.
Usage
All three types of white eggs can be thrown by "using" the item. When thrown, they travel through the air similar to regular chicken eggs and snowballs. Upon impact with an entity or block, the egg has a chance to hatch.
Hatching
When a thrown white egg collides with something, there is a 12.5% chance (1 in 8) that it will hatch. If the egg does hatch, there is an additional 3.125% chance (1 in 32) that 4 baby geese will spawn instead of just 1.
Egg Comparison
While all three egg types function identically in terms of mechanics, they differ in their association with goose variants:
| Egg Type | Goose Variant | Biome Type |
|---|---|---|
| White Egg | Temperate Goose | Temperate |
| Big White Egg | Cold Goose | Cold |
| Small White Egg | Warm Goose | Warm |
