Concept for Corrupted Bubblez
The idea for Corrupted Bubblez started with one of my friends, Bubblez705. He had remade his Minecraft skin, and I made a joke about it looking similar to my skin. My skin has a purple or corrupted version of it, so I said that all Bubblez needed was a purple version and we could match. I requested the skin, so I could make a render with it for fun. What was supposed to be a singular render turned into a short film idea.
2025 April Fools
I gave Bubblez the idea of making a fake trailer with these two characters as a silly little story. He agreed, and we produced the Announcement Trailer for Corrupted Bubblez. This trailer was a proof of concept that a story could exist, but truly it was an April Fools' joke for a series that wouldn't ever end up existing. The trailer took a week to make.
The trailer followed Bubblez giving a vague monologue. Bubblez mentions having a dream of something. He thought he could control whatever was happening. However, he mentions that he was wrong about this. He was caught in the crossfire of something happening, and this event ruined him. Voices began going through his head, so he gave in and listened to them.
2026 April Fools
In 2026, Bubblez and I revisited this idea for a story. This year, we decided to introduce a new character, CW. Bubblez and I developed a proper story behind Corrupted Bubblez. We also wanted to incorporate a joke into this project because the trailer would be releasing on April Fools. So we decided to add in a fake advertisement midway through the climax of the trailer. The advert was for Arlo the Little Guy, a mod I developed alongside working on this trailer. At the end of the ad, there was a link to a website titled "Arlo's Little Ad," and going to this link would bring you to a game-filled ARG to unlock the Ending B trailer.
This trailer takes place directly after the monologue in the first trailer. CW interrupts Bubblez to introduce himself, and he immediately offers Bubblez a deal. He proposes a deal in which the two of them are partners. CW says he needs a partner to help acquire a "MacGuffin." They shake hands, and it cuts to a camp scene. Bubblez tells CW that he feels like he is forgetting something. CW initially brushes it off, but he gives in and asks Bubblez why he is feeling like that. Bubblez feels like something happened at the facility that he doesn't remember, and a flashback of a cat appears on screen. The camera cuts to Bubblez going to grab the MacGuffin, but he pulls back. CW sounds sharp, telling Bubblez to hurry up. Bubblez refuses. They get into an argument about their deal, and Bubblez calls the deal off. CW doesn't like this, so he and Bubblez jump at each other, seemingly about to go into combat.
